Los Angeles' only regular Viewpoints training opportunity! This is a mixed-level class, and each participant is welcome to work at his or her own skill level. Some experience with Viewpoints is helpful, but not necessary. Class is designed around students' specific needs: learn the basics or further your training. A great opportunity to reconnect with your core, your rhythms, and the physical roots of all actor training. Participants will train with members of Fugitive Kind theater. Led by FK Artistic Director Amanda McRaven.
A class for all. We begin with back-to-basics acting technique using voice and physical presence, then move on to explore the analytical and textual basis of a scene by incorporating methods from William H. Macy and David Mamet's Practical Aesthetics technique. Students will develop strong characters based on physical and imaginative play through improvisation and Stanislavski's playful 'Russian Etude' work. The class offers a structured and easy way to develop new tools you can use to create full and robust characters for an audience. Led by FK company member Jim Senti.
